Squashing

Today I sowed the seeds of several more kabocha (Japanese pumpkin) on my slash-n-chainsawed hillside, fertile with the shredded remains of my arborous victims. Impish little green ginger sprouts and the first lobes of inedible African elephant-ear taro had to be snuffed out like a nation of whining taxpayers and small businesses, so that the rich bails of wood chip might finance the growth of ambrosial, tender flesh burgeoning within the squash.

Pics to come!
